16 Years of TERRY FOX AT SAYWELL Stephen G. Saywell has been participating in the annual Terry Fox Run for 16 years. The foundation has recently decided to award banners at each 5 year interval for schools who have been running for Terry!!  Our leadership group is shown here with our  banners! Making a Difference Here is a photo of Grade 7 student Sarah Bennett being interviewed by CKDO  radio on her pre-christmas fundraising challenge! She was given $20 by Dan Carter (local philanthropist and executive producer of Corus Entertainment)  and 48 hours to make a difference! Did she deliver! By the end of the challenge she was able to donate $777.46 to Denise House in Oshawa!  Staff, students and community members all donated to the cause! Overall funds raised were $1343.00! QSP Campaign It's Fundraising time again at Saywell. We are once again selling magazines to raise money for activities here at school. Your child is bringing home an information package and we hope each family can participate in the program! CHARACTER EDUCATION

Each month at Saywell, one of 10 character traits are celebrated. Assemblies are held monthly to recognize deserving students. They are called 'Stinger Assemblies.' Parents will be contacted if their children are receiving a 'Stinger Award.' In JANUARY we will focus on OPTIMISM. The next assembly date is JANUARY 25th at 9:10 a.m.

The S.C.C. is selling ROCK tickets as a FUNDRAISER.
